Who am i
From ever since I was a child I have loved the mountains. Living on the edge of the beautiful woods and at the feet of the mighty mountains love and respect for the territory can be taken for granted, but I guarantee that this is not true, often it is not enough to develop a great passion for nature and all its activities.
In my case, it was thanks to my father that I began to discover the mountains, he was not an alpinist, but he often took me with him in the woods to cut down trees, pick mushrooms and sometimes we went fishing in val Moena or on the Avisio river. It was in these places that I started to appreciate mountains in terms of nature, I learned to respect it and learn about its dangers. In terms of my passion for climbing and alpinism that came from inside, at least I like to think so, since nobody in the family ever had a climbing tradition and I can say that it was me who gradually got family members involved in this amazing world.
Who am i
I remember my first contact with rock it as if it were yesterday, it was purely casual and it is thanks to a friend of my father who invited us to go visit him at rifugio Santner in the Catinaccio mountain range, he was the mountain hut manager. I was six years old and up to that day I did not know the Dolomites. Climbing up that rocky path which joins rifugio Vaiolet to rifugio Santner, you have to scramble up the rocks and put your hands on the rock, that was a moment of discovery for me, together with the sight of the various alpinists I could see climbing the Vaiolet towers. I was a lively child and I did not have many certainties , but of one thing I was certain that day, I felt at ease in that environment, so much so that I had the feeling of having been there before, is that just a coincidence or a premonition? Who knows? It was a romantic and intense feeling that I carry in my heart still to this day, it was the beginning of a never ending passion for me.
After high school I dedicated myself fully to this “vocation” climbing throughout the years more than 1500 ascents on all sorts of terrain and on all sorts of difficulties.
Now, I accompany my clients every day up mountains, trying to instil my passion and values to them.
My experience
I have been sports climbing since 1988, reaching difficulties up to 8a on sight and redpointing 8b+.
I have climbed more than 1500 trad routes across the Alps, on varying difficulties and terrain, as well as going on numerous expeditions in the Andes, Patagonia and the United States.
